Has anyone heard of this Chicago r&b-soul artist Roberta.
She cut two known sides for Ric Williams' LU-CEE label.
The A & B sides were "On The Prowl" and "I'll Try."
I have my old beat 45 of it I wonder if anybody has heard of it.
She was a stablemate and my bestfriend.
She made this one record and "poof" she disappeared never to be
heard from again.

I regulally spin this 45 along with the only other I can find on the label - Lucky Laws - I'm Not Teasing
Two great gritty numbers..

I knew Lucky Laws May god rest his soul. He appeared on many Chi-town labels. There is some rarer singles also on Blue Rock and I think Mar-V-Lus too, and I know about his Lu-Cee and One-derful sides. I know the r&b sides Northern Soul consider acceptable. The flip we're general the choosen sides here in the States. Lucky sold tons of his record and was a successful blues/r&b/ soul artist
