| Just a quick lookback at The Prestatyn Weekender. Not gonna comment about the accommodation of any of the administration. Prestatyn in Feb...it is what it is. From our point of view it was great to meet up with Sammy Campbell again and get him to autograph the pic we had taken in NJ. His voice was not at it's best as he'd had flu since arriving. Both he and his son were real gents. Lots of time for the fans and really enjoyed meeting the UK soulies, as does everyone who makes the trip. Performances on the night were as we've come to expect. The band were magnificent! The drummer deserves a special mention for reproducing the drum fills on the Precisions song with uncanny accuracy. Gloria Jones seems to have lost her voice now but it was nice to see the crowd give her rousing applause which is just as it should be. Some great memories of Ms Jones dancefloor fillers. Gwen Owen's daughter nearly stole the show from Mom! A great rendition of "Just Say You're Wanted and Needed". Jerry Williams - the consummate professional. Another artist who really gets involved in the event and tries to speak to as many fans as possible. I always enjoy listening to them on the radio and this year John Smith did a great interview with 'Swamp'. A great bloke. All in all a great show. Would have to say that The Precisions JUST shaded it for top spot for me personally. The guys really nailed it. Richie Pitts (honorary Precision) was in his element! He's 70 years old nearly and would put many artists half his age to shame with his enthusiasm and complete dedication to his craft. Outstanding. All the rooms appeared to provide what people wanted. If you can't find some type of soul that 'floats your boat' at Prestatyn then I'd suggest you never will. It does exactly what it says on the tin. So...onto the records that came home with me. Picked up this nice little item...

| Ace record that Ruby Winters, Dave, well done. Always nice to come home with some goodies. Read reviews on Prestatyn, it is what you make it looks like.
