Started a training programme two weeks ago. Have used the ipod with different labels music on each session. Did Loma, Okeh, Carnival, Motown, etc. The session has been the same 6.2 miles route everytime. The one that got me to the end of the session first was .......MIRWOOD! So....it's true...said in 1970s, Carlsberg ad voice-over styleeee ..."Mirwood reaches parts of the body other labels cannot reach!" God bless Fred Smith!

So now that you've gone over to the UK and ate all those pies, are you going to be enlisting the talents of Fred Smith to burn it all off again?
I've been training 6 days a week. I'm on week two now.
All this talk about fitness is making me crave Jaffa cakes now.
Gotta go...

| After constant badgering by 'er indoors I was doing this getting fit lark but then 3rd game of the new season I tore a ligament in my knee!! Now in a brace and having physio twice a week. I blamed her because if I hadnt been fitter I wouldnt have got anywhere near the ball to make that tackle.

Ok so I'm up to 5 miles in 64 minutes and I know I can do better. Dave, what's your timing on that 6.2 mile program? I've got a little catching up to do maybe.

Hi Jas,
I'm now doing a 5 mile route (VERY hilly!) and it's currently taking me 52/3 minutes. I'm hoping to get it down to around 44/5 minutes eventually. My son does it in 32 minutes!!! Then again I would have at his age. I reckon you're on the right track Mate, in Florida the 10k route (flat) used to take me around 55 mins. Keep at it Mate, it doesn't happen overnight and you'll feel better for it eventually.
