| Can anyone identify this song for me. It is driving me mad. It is on a very old tape of mine and I don't have a clue where I taped it from. I will give you the 1st verse and chorus and be thankful you are reading it and not listening to me trying to sing it. Here goes... Each night I lie awake thinking what happened to this world of ours Girl I even started drinking to help me through the lonely hours. chorus.. Ive got..? ...? thinking about you, living without you Tell me how can I go on without you, I'm crazy about you Tell me how can I make it without you

| Simon and Roger Thankyou so much. I might get some sleep now. I had spent three days and nights trying to find another song which turned out to be Got to get you back by Sons of Robin Stone. I had been guessing at the title and listening to songs on the juke box. About five minutes after I found it another one came into my head and I thought oh no more days of searching. Apart from cds which i bought a few years ago, all my northern soul was on tapes which someone did for me about 18 years ago so I never knew titles or artists, just loved the music. There is one more that maybe you can help me with. I identified the song and found it by two other artists but not the artist singing it on my tape(which I think is the better version). Will have to find the details and post it. In return for your help,I'm afraid I dont have any rare records (I dont think I have anyway), but at least ive passed the love of the music on to my children. Thanks again.

| Thankyou for leading me to starpoint radio, Simon. Listening to it now. The other song is Who could be loving you. Heard the Jackie Ross and Jimmy James versions. The one I have is a male and its a bit faster than Jimmy James. Also do you know where I can find How can I go on without you so I can listen to it or better still download it. Failing that I would pay someone to put it on cd for me. My tape is severely chewed so I cant hear it properly. Thanks again

Diane - keep on keeping on !
I'm pretty sure 'Who Could Be Loving You' is on the flip of a Northern biggie..The Velours maybe? Now I'll have to go and check.....

| It's not on the flip of the Velours 45, Simon..."Don't Pity Me" is the song on the flip of "I'm Gonna Change". Might it be Al Wilson's song on Soul City that she could be thinking of? It's on a 45 with "When You Love, You're Loved Too" (Soul City 759). Best, Mark

Hmmm not the Velours then Mark...maybe The Fantastics? I have it on the flip of something on a UK label, possibly Mojo....I'm going to have a look this afternoon.
