I went down to the Hotel today to see the Owner/Manager - Franciso. I checked the booking system with him and all reservations are being logged and rooms reserved perfectly. The language is not a problem. They understand that as long as people either mention (if booking by phone), or put Hitsville Soul Weekender in the comments box on the online reservation page when booking they will get the reduced rate. It's picking up nicely and things are going smooth. To be honest it's more pleasurable and easier dealing with the hotel than it ever was in the States at La Quinta! We're looking good peeps! ('cept H in the tutu! Images forming!! Must get 'em out mi head!)

Regards,

Dave

Great news...Chris Waterman, Karl Heard and their ladies will be joining us in Mojacar. Karl's gonna bring a few 45s over to play too. Looks like there will now be a BBQ/Soul Night/Pool party up at our place on the Wed or Thursday night too. Open decks, AS LONG AS IT'S LOUD!!

Dave

Open decks? I'm ALWAYS up fer that! Get images out of your head, and get thinking ,PLEASE tell me I never dreamt this.I have or think I HAD ,The walls that seperate us,by John Edwards.I have been searching for a record for Greety having said I'd let him have it(Servicemen) cant find it.All of a sudden this came back into my mind.I know Walter did it,but search as I might I cant find this at home.Am I going mad or did I own this? It was definitely 7" and acetate.
On that note has anybody looked at Marvin thing on E bay,Hangin on,never heard it myself wondered if its worth bidding for?
LOL

H,
The MG track is great. Not sure if it's had a CD issue or not but I'm no expert on Cd releases as you know! . True Jobete acetate though. I think Dave Bywell may know where these were sourced from, (The little old chinese lady, Dave?).

Can't help you with the John Edwards.

Servicemen? Which one? Chartmaker of Wind Hit?

Dave

Chartmaker 45.. Ok but overated imo. Got shut a few years ago in nice trades.

Wind Hit copy is about 800 now. Won one a few months ago but guy never sent it (scottish bloke). Reckoned a few had been found and didn't want to be accused of ripping me off. Yeah right! I figure he paid more than that for it and renaged. Great double sider that I'm still hunting for in mint-.

Little Tommy - BIWY? Great record but not worth anywhere near the current crazy prices some folks seem prepared to pay. ROLL ON THE REVOLUTION!! All vinyl will be $5.00 apiece!
