Hi All Soul Lovers. I have been into soul music from about age 12, I'm now 41. Back then I did not really now what Northern Soul was only it just made me want to dance and Dance I did in front of the primary seven class... I was born in Scotland but moved to Canada when the Torys had no jobs for a wee Scottish lad. I came over in 86 with a 90 min tape of about 20 Northern greats. Edwin Starr, Jackie Wilson, The Velvelettes. ect. and after I got here I got into Northern Cds. I love music and do a little djing only main stream. Wedding that sort of thing. I also like internet radio, I get my fix of soul there. I have also just started to getting into vinyl again. I did dj the first scooter rally in Kelowna Were I played R. Dean Taylor...WOW I hear you say.. but there is not much happening in Kelowna Sorry to say Vancouver has a Band playing covers of old Northern Songs but thats about it. It there is any one in Canada in to Soul music give me a shout Later Dave

Hi Dave,
Welcome to Hitsville. Look forward to any contribution you make. There's lots to see and hear on the forum and the main website so take a look around Mate.
Kev New is a regular on here, he's also an ex pat in Canada looking for some soul action.
Regards,
Dave http://www.theresthatbeat.com/http://www.hitsvillesoulclub.com/

Dave,
On the main forum there's a section titled "Small Talk Not Soul Talk" it's where we leave messages for each other. If you start a thread called "Calling Kev New" he'll respond when he next comes on the forum.
