Hi All
This is the second time I have posted some thing on the forum and I did not do so good the first time...lol . So bare with me please.... Eddy Edmondson is a dj out of the lake district in England who has put Soul in the sun together. It has been running for about 10 years or so. The Holidays take place in Tenerife and Lanzerote two times a year April and November The wed page is www.zen28969.zen.co.uk/ I hope that gets you there? or google soul in the sun. Eddy has a Northern Soul Radio show on www.soultime.org.uk/ playing Northern 7Ts and a touch of modern sounds. This is some this I would like to go to at some point in my life. | Hello Dave, Welome back.I too am a bit of a prodigal on here lately,just dont seem to get too much time with work. I have been lucky enough to have attended Soul in the sun.I think the venue is great.Not up for Lanzarote though.Been to all of the Hitsville "Dos" and had an ABSOLUTE ball at each of em,really looking forward to Mojacar.Unfortunately some from USA wont be able to make this trip owing to various constraints.If anybody is teetering on the edge financially get in touch with Dave Moore.We want you here people,you know who are.So get in touch and lets keep the party going.Thats what it has been for me the past few years,and anybody who knows me personally knows I like a good time! LOL H

Got to second what H is saying. Im gutted that i cant be there this year. 1st year i went as a punter, last 2 years as a dj. You won't meet a better set of people. no airs or graces, no cliques, and the music follows a similar route. No politics, just good quality originals, spun by dj's that are primarily collectors. So there's no egos involved and the crowd that's there is responsive and appreciative, up for a laugh, and out for a good time. Would dearly like to get there next year. Have a good time folks

| I am also gutted. I will be in Uk but family commitments mean I will be at Soulfusion and not having a reet good time in Spain. Will be there next year though!

Hi All
Yes this looks like it is really well put together.I'm on Eddy's Mailing list. Eddy Edmondson also has a internet radio show. I heard him first on the Mary Fox Show on BBC Stoke. I have never been to a Northern Soul dance let alone a Holiday. I went to some Mod night's as a kid in the late 70s and early 80s in Scotland. I now live in Canada Kelowna B.C. I have to get a pass port but would be into going to the Emerald City Weekender in 2009 if they have it on but I have know one to go with also What other Soul events are a must and would I be ok by my self? (Know mate Dave !!! LOL)
